Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing

BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES:
YESTERDAY, TODAY, & TOMORROW

Yesterday

The Anne M. Pinkard building opened in 1998
as the first structure on the East Baltimore
campus dedicated solely to nursing
education at Johns Hopkins.

Today

The school has quickly outgrown this
award-winning structure, and therefore a
proposed addition to the Pinkard Building is
scheduled to open in 2010.  The nursing wing will cost approximately $42 million.

Tomorrow

A glassy, four-story atrium will connect the existing building to a second eight-story building, a sunny garden will open south to the community, and a green rooftop with benches will provide
a peaceful place to sit.
