Areas of Scholarly Expertise and Interest

Controlling hypertension in African-Americans. Primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular and related diseases/co-morbidities; i.e., hypertension, diabetes, ESRD, and CHF. Patient and provider compliance with recommendations. Strategies for patient education and behavior change. Health promotion and disease prevention.
