Dr. Linda Rose, Director of the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing Baccalaureate Program, has played an active role in shaping the curriculum for tomorrow's nurses. She has brought a rich mix of educational, clinical, and leadership experience to the role, working closely with course coordinators, clinical faculty, and students. Dr. Rose has not only led the team that facilitated major revisions to the baccalaureate curriculum, but also overseen and refined its implementation. Her research, teaching, and clinical interest is centered in psychiatric nursing, specifically serious mental illnesses and their effects on families. She teaches both psychiatric mental health and research courses for the baccalaureate program. Dr. Rose has additional expertise in qualitative research methods teaches a mixed methods course in the doctoral program. Her research activities focus on exploring multidisciplinary approaches to improve the quality and effectiveness of community-based care for patients with depression and other serious mental illnesses by enhancing both family engagement and transitional care.
