BUILDING TOUR:
NURSING INFORMATION RESOURCE CENTER (NIRC)
The Nursing Information Resource Center (NIRC), located in the School of Nursing, gives faculty and students access to a small collection of recommended and required textbooks, clinical skills videocassettes, and more than 10 computers for research use. A wide variety of online tools and databases are available through the Nursing Digital Library.
Other nursing materials are housed in the William H. Welch Medical Library, which provides Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions and its affiliates with information services that advance research, teaching, and patient care. Patrons can search within all of the Johns Hopkins Institutions collections in the JHU Libraries Catalog.
Other nursing materials are housed in the Welch Library. In addition, the facilities and 2 million volumes of the University's Milton S. Eisenhower Library are available to the School of Nursing.
The Carol J. Gray Center, named after the dean who founded the School as a degree-granting division of the University, is a distinguished setting in which students can read and study.
