Traditional Baccalaureate Option
The Traditional option is available to students who have completed 60 prerequisites credits or a bachelors degree in a field other than nursing and are interested in a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing. Itis offered in a 21 month, semester format. The Traditional option begins in the fall of each year. Typically, a student participating in this option has more time for outside activities including working in a hospital or clinical setting, research, involvement with student interest groups such as student government, sports, etc., or taking additional courses. Students are eligible to pursue an internship/externship or work at a hospital such as Johns Hopkins Hospital, during the summer between their first and second years.
Application Deadlines:
November 1 - Early decision
January 15 - Regular decision
Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Nursing from the Johns Hopkins University and will be qualified to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) to obtain licensure as a registered nurse.
