MASTER'S PROGRAMS
Acute/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner

Graduates of the Adult Acute/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner are eligible to apply for American Nurses Credentialing Center/American Association of Critical Care Nurses (ANCC/MCN) certification as Adult Acute/Critical Care Nurse Practitioner.

This option program prepares nurses to serve in specialized acute care areas such as intensive and critical care units, emergency rooms and in other settings where patients are acutely ill and in need of comprehensive assessment of multiple body systems and intensive therapies.

Clinical experiences include a variety of settings with adult patient populations. This option also includes study of nursing theory, research, nursing informatics, statistics and ethics. Full-time and part-time study is available.

Application Deadlines
August 1 � for fall entry
December 1 � for spring entry
May 1 � for summer entry

The application and all supporting documentation must be received by the deadlines listed above. However to be given consideration for a Merit Scholarship Award, you must be accepted for admission by March 1. Please note that on average it takes the Admissions Committee approximately one month to reach a decision upon receipt of a completed application.
