Nurse Educator Certificate Option (NECO)

In conjunction with the Nurse Educator Certificate Option is the Nurse Faculty Loan Program. Funding is used to provide loans to graduate students, enrolled at least half-time, in programs that prepare them to serve as faculty in a school of nursing. The program provides a cancellation provision of up to 85% of the loan principal and interest. To cancel the maximum amount of the loan, the borrower must serve as full-time nurse faculty for four consecutive years following graduation. To apply applicants must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Assistance (FAFSA) and the application for the Nurse Faculty Loan Program.
