Undergraduate Assistance

Fuld Fellowship in Patient Care Quality Safety
With a grant from the Helene Fuld Trust, HSBC Bank USA, N.A. in New York, NY, the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing will offer 20 scholarships of $16,000 each to students interested in a leadership development program designed to produce new nurses who can make a difference in healthcare quality and safety, particularly among older adults for students accepted to the Accelerated Bachelor's program in either summer or fall of 2012.

School of Nursing (SON) Grant
This grant is provided by the School of Nursing to assist students who demonstrate financial need. SON grants are awarded from institutional funds and endowed scholarships.

Merit Scholarship for Bachelor's Students
The Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing offers a limited number of Academic Merit Scholarships covering half-tuition costs to qualified accepted students. The awards are made to those accepted applicants who, in the judgment of the faculty of the School of Nursing, have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership capabilities, and extracurricular involvement. The scholarship is renewable for each of the four semesters provided the recipient remain in good academic standing at the School of Nursing and depending on availability of funds.

Peace Corps Fellows Scholarship
Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPCV) who fill out the Peace Corps Fellows Application are considered for one of the $12,500 Peace Corps Fellows Scholarships. Preference is given to RPCVs who have completed their service within the past 24 months.

Graduate Assistance

Merit Scholarships for Master’s Students
The School of Nursing offers a limited number of Academic Merit Scholarships to qualified accepted students. The awards are made to those accepted applicants who, in the  judgment of the faculty of the School of Nursing, have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership capabilities, and extracurricular involvement. The scholarship is renewable provided the  recipient remain in good academic standing at the School of Nursing and depending on availability of funds.

CareFirst Scholarships
The School of Nursing, in collaboration with CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, awards $40,000 in tuition and living expenses—for two years—to two students in the master's program who intend to become nursing faculty members upon graduation. Scholarship recipients must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and must enroll full-time and complete the 12-credit Nurse Educator Certificate Option as part of the master’s program. In addition, they agree to teach at a school of nursing in Maryland, Northern Virginia, or the District of Columbia for at least three years following graduation.

Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fellowship
The Dolores Zohrab Liebmann Fund supports advanced education and graduate study in the form of fellowships “which must be carried out entirely in the United States of America.“ The Liebmann Fellowships are awarded to candidates with exemplary undergraduate performance who have a need for financial support and are U.S. citizens. In addition, they must be enrolled in accredited academic institutions and have successfully completed a bachelor's program. The amount of each award will include the cost of tuition and a stipend allocated to room, board, living expenses and income taxes. The Liebmann Fellowships award for 2012-2013 is $18,000.
