Alumni Association

A strong independent body, the Johns Hopkins Nurses Alumni Association (JHNAA) has a distinguished history of fostering a tenacious loyalty to Hopkins and a deep commitment to the School of Nursing. The Association is a human network that exists to:

• Promote nursing excellence in clinical practice, education, leadership, and research throughout the Johns Hopkins community.
• Perpetuate friendships and promote professional relationships among alumni.
• Encourage alumni interest in the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.

Get Involved!

Join a committee and share your ideas for improving our Alumni Association. With the technology of e-mail and conference calls, you can become involved no matter where you live. Help plan your class reunion by working with the Alumni office with some of your classmates. Show your pride - get involved!

Membership Committee. Be a membership "ambassador" - talk to your classmates about becoming active dues-paying members. Funds from the dues allow JHNAA to offer more activities and social events for students and alumni and to continue the tradition of the nursing pin for future Hopkins nurses. Homecoming Committee. Rally your classmates to attend Homecoming weekend events. The committee has worked hard the last two years to make Homecoming fun and appealing to more recent graduating classes. The Friday night Happy Hour has been a smashing success! Contact: Paula Kent at pkent@jhmi.edu.

Support JHNAA with Alumni Dues
Hopkins Alumni Dues are $40 per year for most graduates, and $20 per year for recent graduates ('03 - '07). Solicitation for dues comes from the JHU Alumni office. The Nurses' Alumni Association receives 50% of all dues paid by nursing school graduates.

Your dues provide the major source of income for the alumni programs. Last Year, dues made possible more than 250 events around the world, JHU inCircle - the new online social and career networking community, Hopkins KnowledgeNET - the alumni virtual library, homecoming and student activites. Go to www.alumni.jhu.edu and become a dues-paying member of the Hopkins alumni.
