NR110.410F Special Topics in Nursing: Oncology/Palliative Care
Description: This course is designed to expand the student's learning in a specified topic related to nursing practice. Advanced theories and principles related to the delivery of nursing care in selected settings and/or with selected patient populations are presented. The course builds on the prevous coursework throughout the curriculum. This section of special topics builds on the previous oncology content in the curriculum and prepares the student to apply content to the specialty of oncology nursing. Content will address the treatment and long term management of individuals and families with, and at risk for, cancer. Content addresses physiological, psychological, social, and palliative aspects of cancer care. Prerequisites: NR 110.301-110.404 Corequisites: NR 110.405 and 110.407
