NR110.501 Intermediate Biostatistics
Description: This course provides students with a conceptual and practical approach to statistical methods in health care research. It focuses on statistical theory and models, including hypothesis testing, correlation, simple linear and multiple regression, logistic regression, odds-ratios, t-tests, ANOVA, ANCOVA, factorial ANOVA, repeated measures ANOVA, and nonparametric tests. Understanding will be emphasized with computer applications and examples drawn from the nursing research literature and clinical and administrative databases. Prerequisite: Undergraduate statistics
