REGISTRATION PROCEDURES - DEGREE PROGRAMS
The following guidelines are to be strictly followed to complete course
registration for any semester:
- All students must register each semester for both School of Nursing and
courses offered by other University divisions.
- Students are responsible for scheduling an appointment with their
academic advisor during the listed advising period (See the Academic
Calendar for dates).
- Advisors will distribute registration materials to each advisee during
the scheduled meeting. After the meeting, your advisor will notify the
Registrar's Office that you have advisor clearance to register.
- Each student will register online, except for the following courses:
independent study, scholarly project, and interdivisional courses. These
courses require completion of specific forms, available in the Registrar's
Office (see #7). PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK PREREQUISITES FOR ALL CLASSES WITH
YOUR ADVISOR.
- All graduate students must obtain clearance from the Business Office
prior to registration.
- Students who need clearance from the Business Office (other than
graduate students), Student Financial Services office or University Health
Services will be notified in their registration materials by the following:
- A GREEN dot indicates a financial hold - see the Student
Accounts Office
- A RED dot indicates a financial aid hold - see the Student
Financial Services Office
- A YELLOW dot indicates a health requirement hold - see the
Registrar's Office.
- If applicable, the student will submit the following to the Registrar's
Office to complete the registration process:
- Independent study/scholarly project form with all required
signatures
- Interdivisional registration form
- Application for graduation form
- Students who have not officially registered may not attend class.
- A fee will be assessed for late registration (a registration submitted
by continuing degree program students only).
- A student who is unable to complete registration by the stated date and
time should contact the Registrar's Office at (410) 614-3096
- To AUDIT a course, a student must obtain both the course
instructor's permission and approval of his/her academic advisor.
- CLINICAL PLACEMENTS: Graduate students requiring placement in a
clinical site must complete a clinical placement form.
