2007-2008 Annual Coursebook

HEALTH & HEALTH INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Prior to registration, all accepted students are required to submit pre-entrance health forms that include proof of appropriate immunization and tuberculin testing to University Health Services on the East Baltimore campus.

  2. All matriculated students must have health insurance coverage comparable to the plan available from the University. (See Office of Student Accounts for information). Proof of insurance coverage must be submitted to the Office of Student Accounts prior to registration. Please go online to the Student Accounts website at http://www.nursing.jhu.edu/resources/fna/

  3. After matriculation, all students are required to verify annual proof of tuberculin screening (either by PPD or periodic chest x-ray) to the Registrar's Office.

  4. All students must attend annual school updates on blood borne pathogens and tuberculosis. Such programs are offered at the School of Nursing during orientation. Returning students may provide proof of attendance at another location to the Registrar's Office. Generally, students intending to return for the fall semester will be notified in April that this requirement must be completed by August 1.

Students who do not comply with these requirements will not be allowed to register or attend classes until the requirement is completed. This situation will result in being assessed a late registration fee.
