Student Life: Health & Safety
It is the Johns Hopkins University's policy that all students must maintain adequate health insurance coverage. School of Nursing students may purchase the Student Health Program (SHP) or provide their own comparable health insurance coverage. Only students that enroll in SHP or pay an annual $250 health service fee may receive health services at University Health Services (UHS) on the Johns Hopkins Medical Campus.
SHP enrollment forms will be mailed to all new students, 60 days prior to student's first semester. Students, who wish more information regarding the SHP, please complete our request form or call Student Accounts Office at 410-955-1243.
Returning students that enrolled in SHP, coverage will carry over to the next academic year and premiums will be charge to the ISIS student account. Once a student stops attending school, SHP coverage will end. Students may extend coverage be electing COBRA. More information will be communicated before each School of Nursing graduation.
Students who maintain their own insurance plan, please complete the annual online waiver form. See health service fee option.
