Meet our SON Bloggers!

julia beverly Julia , Accelerated 2009.  I was a corporate event planner who got sick of planning parties and remembered my love for people and medicine so I chose nursing.  I will still plan parties if you ask nicely!

Beverly, Traditional 2009. I didn’t always know that I wanted to be a nurse, until my first year of college…and luckily I jumped on that instinct as soon as I felt it.

Renee, Accelerated 2009.  I just KNOW my experience of getting a Land Cruiser out of a rising creek using only 4 oxen will come in handy at the School of Nursing someday...I'm just waiting for my moment to shine!

Liz, Accelerated 2009. I’m a Northwest baby trying to fit running and cooking into the accelerated class schedule. A year helping a community grow its own food firmly set my interest in public health and led me to nursing’s doorstep.

andy's blogWhitney, Traditional 2010. Once a University of Georgia Bulldawg (yes, that's the correct spelling), I am now a new Hopkins nursing student!  Don't worry Georgia fans; I'll never forget my roots.

Andy, Traditional 2010. After being raised on a farm in Michigan and getting a degree in management and accounting, I spent the last four years of my life in commercial finance before deciding to apply my business knowledge to nursing.
