Countdown...Graduation day!

Hello Friends,

Yes it is finally on the horizon..GRADUATION!  We completed our Pediatric course /clinical requirements yesterday and tust me when I say, I was really looking forward to RECESS and snack time !  Seriously, we had a great clinical group and the experience working with the "little ones" was very rewarding.  Everything is minature and small including the infusion pumps for fluids, its almost like visiting  "Alice in Wonderland."  It was however, a very rewarding experience and presenting our required pediatric nursing teaching projects to each other on the last clinical day was quite entertaining.  My fellow students did a great job...but its hard to keep a straight face when we are all acting like the age group designed for the teaching. (ages 5-17).  Good times!  Talk about regression!  (smile)

We are all very excited about finishing soon and we start our last seven weeks of academic stuff on Monday.  Public Health and other course favorites are on the schedule.  The last seven weeks will be out of the schoolhouse and in the hospitals for leadership three days a week!

I will be walking May 16th for graduation (Yippee!) its a nice ceremony with full graduation regalia.  I will then finish the last seven weeks and head to Arizona where I have a great job and a wonderful team of nurses I will be working with.  It is really happening ...finally the day we have worked so hard for is rapidly approaching.  I must tell you that the friends I have made here at JHUSON through this nursing educational process will remain for a lifetime.

Today is the first day without needing to prepare for exams, projects, careplans etc...so as you have probably quessed...I am off to RECESS for the entire day with friends and I guarantee those "snack" and "beverage" times will be "scheduled" in our day!

Thank you for visiting the site and have a GREAT day!
