HOPKINS NURSES GO GLOBAL

Through the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing Student Leadership Rotation program, students receive hands-on clinical experience in Singapore, China, the United Arab Emirates , Haiti , and other sites.

The Minority Global Health Disparities Research Training (MHIRT) Program offers students opportunities to learn research skills from faculty mentors in South Africa , Sweden , Australia, and South Korea .

Students learn more about global health through courses focusing on global nursing: " Issues and Trends in Global Health ," " Special Topics in Nursing: Around the world- Preparing for Global Nursing ," or " Nursing in Global Humanitarian Relief ."

Among the Hopkins nursing faculty who teach, study, and conduct research abroad are Patti Abbott , PAHO/WHO Center Co-Director; Nancy Glass , Global Health Research Ambassador; Marie Nolan , PhD Program Director; Jason Farley , Clinical Instructor; Cheryl Dennison , Assistant Professor; and Beth Sloand , Assistant Professor.
