An annual celebration focusing on diversity, culture, and health. Sponsored by the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing Cultural Competency and Diversity Committee, Johns Hopkins Nurses' Alumni Association and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers, in conjunction with Peace Corps Week.

Visiting Scholar - February 15, 2005
Gail Stuart, PhD, APRN, BC, FAAN, dean and professor of the College of Nursing, Medical University of South Carolina, and professor in the College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Medical University of South Carolina, will present "Psychiatry: Issues on the Edge."

Johns Hopkins Nursing joins the nationwide recognition of America's 2.7 million registered nurses with this year’s National Nurses Week.

International Visiting Scholar - April 15-16, 2004
A visit to the School of Nursing from Sabina M. De Geest, PhD, MS, RN, Interim Chair of the Department of Clinical Nursing Science and Director of the Institute of Nursing Science at the University of Basel in Switzerland.

Healthcare Safety & Quality Revolution - Mar. 28, 2004 - A presentation followed by a discussion about efforts to improve outcomes through innovations in education, research and clinical practice. Open to attendees of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Spring Annual Meeting.

Honoring Diversity Week: Learning from Each Other
March 1-3, 2004 - A three day celebration of diversity which will include information booths, an art exhibit, dance performances, vendors, presentations and panel discussions from all over the world. Hosted by the Cultural Diversity Committee of JHUSON and the Returned Peace Corps Volunteer Program, this event is open to all who wish to attend.

Who Will Care for Us? - Feb. 26, 2004 - A symposium to discuss the role of nurses in addressing the healthcare and health policies needed to support the aging population.
