International Visiting Scholar: Sabina M. De Geest
April 15-16, 2004
In April the School of Nursing welcomed Sabina M. De Geest, PhD, MS, RN,
interim chair of the Department of Clinical Nursing Science and Director of the
Institute of Nursing Science at the University of Basel in Switzerland. Dr. De
Geest met with members of Hopkins Nursing faculty and leadership and gave two
presentations: one on nursing education in Switzerland and the other on
non-adherence in the chronically ill.
Since Dr. De Geest's visit, the School of Nursing has continued to
collaborate with the University of Basel. Future plans include a visit to the
University of Basel by Dean Martha N. Hill.
