Visiting Scholar – February 15, 2005

Gail Stuart, PhD, APRN, BC, FAAN, dean and professor of the College of Nursing, Medical University of South Carolina, and professor in the College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Medical University of South Carolina, will present "Psychiatry: Issues on the Edge."

Dr. Stuart received her BS in nursing from Georgetown University, her MS in psychiatric Nursing from the University of Maryland, and her PhD in behavioral sciences from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. She is Board Certified by the American Credentialing Center as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, a member of Sigma Theta Tau, president-elect of the American College of Mental Health Administration, a Distinguished Practitioner in the National Academics of Practice, and a past president of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
