women and families during the childbirth process.

This information session discusses the Doctor of Nursing
Practice (DNP) program, hosted by associate professor Kathi
White, PhD, RN, CNAA, BC, director of the DNP program. Member
institutions of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing
have voted to make a practice-focused doctoral-level degree
necessary for advanced nursing practice by the year 2015.
