The Community Advisory Board

The Community Advisory Committee (CAB) serves as the Breastfeeding Study’s liaison to the surrounding community. The CAB is made up of members of the greater Baltimore area who have experience working with various issues related to the study, such as, breastfeeding peer counselors, WIC staff, lactation consultants, and Johns Hopkins University faculty. This committee meets approximately once a year. The research investigators report on the progress of the study and ask the CAB for advice on interacting with participants and any issues that may effect our population. The CAB is also asked to report on any community issues they may be aware of that will impact the success of the study.
