A+ Asthma Rural Study

Caroline County, on Maryland's Eastern Shore, is located midway between Maryland's northern and southern borders. It shares its eastern border with Delaware. The county is rural in character, Farming-primarily poultry, sod, grain and vegetable crops-is a major economic pursuit.

Dorchester County is the largest County on Maryland's Eastern Shore, consisting of 593 square miles of land and 108 square miles of water, with 1,700 miles of shoreline.

Kent County is 281 square miles and the smallest of the Upper Shore counties. Kent County is bordered on the south by the historic Chester River, on the north by the Sassafras River and on the east by the State of Delaware. Kent County

Queen Anne's County is the gateway to the Eastern Shore of Maryland, located in the north-central part of the State. The county occupies 238,229 acres or 373 square miles. It is partly on the mainland and partly on islands, mainly Kent and Wye Island.
