CENTER ON HEALTH DISPARITIES RESEARCH
Welcome to the Center on Health Disparities Research.
The CHDR was created in 2001 with a five-year grant received from the
National Institutes of Health (NIH) with the purpose of identifying and
eliminating health disparities and enhancing health disparities research.
As the result of a
partnership between Johns Hopkins University School of
Nursing and
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University School of Nursing,
the Center is one of eight partnerships funded by the NIH National Institute
of Nursing Research and the NIH National Center for Minority Health and
Health Disparities to study disparities in health care.
