CHDR FUNDING

The CHDR provides grants for pilot/feasibility studies focusing on health disparities - in access to care, processes of care, and health outcomes - as they relate to health promotion, symptom management, or domestic violence.

Funds are available to research teams of faculty from the Johns Hopkins University and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Schools of Nursing.

Eligibility

Funds are available to faculty from the Johns Hopkins University and North Carolina A&T State University Schools of Nursing. Principal Investigators must be new investigators with less than $100,000 external funding.

Pilot/feasibility studies must focus on health disparities as they relate to health promotion, symptom management, or domestic violence, and in the context of disparities in access to care, processes of care, and outcomes of care. Studies should provide experience and data with which to seek more substantial grants for further investigation. Priority is given to projects focusing on the development and testing of culturally sensitive interventions.
