The purpose of this study is to explore the role that family members play to support patient adherence to immunosuppressive therapy and to obtain patient and family member input into the development of an intervention to promote family support of patient adherence to immuno-suppressive therapy.

Because the long-term goal after this study is to test the effectiveness of a patient-family adherence support intervention in a U.S. and Swiss population, a secondary objective of this study is to validate instruments previously used in a European population to measure factors related to immunosuppressive therapy adherence in a U.S. population.
